Halloween!

A very scary wolf!
Few things in life are better than toddlers in oversized animal costumes. This is true!
That face...
Boo!

Scott's face when you ask him to say cheese looks just like a jack-o-lanterns any time of year :)

Topsail Island 2013 Part 1

The week after we moved down to San Diego we went on a trip to Virginia! My parents rented a beach house for a week in Topsail, NC and we decided to fly into Virginia to spend a few days with Nate's sister before driving down to the beach. Scotty had a great time seeing his cousins and we loved catching up with Katie and Jason and seeing their beautiful new house!
One night we all went to get ice cream at a little country creamery. Scott loved riding in the Jeep with his cousin Jacob (but not as much as Nate did)!

After visiting Katie and Jason we drove down to Charlottesville, VA, where my parents live, to spend a day with them before caravaning down to the beach. My parents took Scott on a little nature hike. He loved it!

We also stopped and took Nate to some real southern BBQ in a town next to Charlottesville. It was amazingly delicious. I am really never even tempted to cheat on gluten-free - expect at this place! I didn't cheat because I am still trying to resolve some health problems. But I sure missed eating those hush puppies, cornbread, fried chicken!

The next day we drove 5 hours to the beach. Topsail Island is my favorite place in the world. We went there almost every year for a week growing up. My parents and my aunt and uncle would rent a house on the beach with a pool. I have many happy memories there. Last time we went I was pregnant, so this time I was excited to take Scott to my favorite beach!

Looking for small sand digger crabs!

The beach boy - his hair got so blonde on the trip!
