Book Worm..

Lately I have been a huge book worm for baby books. I got a lot of book recommendations from my sister-in-laws and I highly recommend the ones I've read so far! I have learned so much that I didn't know before.
It makes me feel more ready to have a baby!

This was the first book I read and it was AWESOME. It had such good advice and so many tips. Also it was an easy read because he lays everything our so clearly with fun stories and examples. It am really excited to use what I've learned in this book for the first couple months of our baby's life.

Who doesn't get this book when they're pregnant? It really does answer every question you could have! The chapters are by month and I have been reading as my pregnancy progresses. I love learning about what is going on with my body as well as the development of the baby.

This book is great! It really does help you understand how important healthy sleep habits are for babies and kids. It gives more of an academic approach to napping and successful sleep routines. It was a little dry at times but definitely addresses every sleep problem you can imagine! I would recommend the happiest baby on the block over this book, especially for the first couple months. But it is great at addressing sleep habits and patterns as kids get older.

I decided to get this book because the happiest baby on the block was so good! I really like his ideas for preventing tantrums and making your toddler feel like an all-star. I highly recommend it! I will probably have to revisit it a year from now when I'm actually approaching toddlerhood, but it was a fun read!

And this is the next book I'm going to read. I'll let you know how it goes!

Erin-you have read so many! I want to get Happiest Baby on the Block cause I've heard so many good things. I am reading Babywise right now and the Joy of Pregnancy (a month to month prego book). They're both pretty good, but I took a break from baby books to read some novels...

just wanted to add my favorite: it's called "YOU having a Baby".. It's been my favorite by far... lots of fun little diagrams about what's going on inside your body and good chapters about what's happening and what to expect... it's a super easy read and nice to read something in a different format than the week by week or month by month books (which I also have) but thanks for the other suggestions!

I have consistently used the sleep habits book - it has saved me in lots of different phases with my girls. Way to go reading up now, you probably won't have as much time later!

Congrats on your pregnancy!!!! Ok, now you HAVE to read the book On Becoming Baby Wise, because it could save your life. It saved mine with Sydney when she was colicky and just yesterday I read through some of it again to help with Raegan's sleeping and it's a life saver today. I also used the Healthy Sleep Habits book info alot.

I second Heather's recommendation! Sammi and Emerson both slept through the night at 6 weeks from me implementing the things from "On Becoming Babywise". It's a GREAT book. It helps with nighttime sleep as well as naps. I would recommend reading it before you have your baby, and then rereading it within your baby's first two weeks of life.
